Through the Green Agenda Project, we deliver tailored public perception assessments, country-specific strategies, and implementation support, aligning Armenia’s transition with the EU regulatory and policy framework.

Public Readiness and Willingness to Support Initiatives for a Green Transition in Armenia: Country Report

The Green Agenda Public Perception Study provides an in-depth view of public awareness and attitudes toward climate change, environmental protection, energy security, and cooperation with the European Union. The analysis goes beyond policy, exploring the societal readiness, barriers, and opportunities as Armenia pursues a green transition and climate goals.

The assessment covers:

  •  Public understanding and engagement with climate change
  •  Trust in information sources on environmental issues
  •  Perceived impacts and root causes of climate change across demographic groups
  •  Priorities and perceived effectiveness of different actors in environmental protection
  •  Attitudes toward energy security and efficiency
  •  Willingness to support green initiatives and barriers to participation

Results highlight challenges, identify cooperation opportunities, and inform stakeholder-driven strategies for sustainable development and effective climate action in Armenia. The findings are based on nationwide opinion research, ensuring a representative overview of key public perceptions to guide Armenia’s green transition.
