Yesterday, we had a productive meeting with Georgia's Ambassador to Sweden, Irakli Khutsurauli, to discuss our Green Agenda for Georgia project.

We presented the project's objectives, which centre around helping Georgia develop a climate neutrality roadmap aligned with EU accession standards.

Following introductions by Robert Watt, SEI Engagement Director, and an overview of the Green Agenda by Bernardas Padegimas, SEI Senior Project Manager, Georgia's Ambassador expressed appreciation for the support. The Ambassador pledged full support towards the Green Agenda project and readiness to contribute to enhanced cooperation and communication with Georgian counterparts. He noted that as the country progresses with reforms as an EU candidate country, external assistance like SEI’s is valuable in guiding these efforts.

During the meeting, Mariam Orjonikidze, the 1st Secretary at the Embassy of Georgia in Sweden, reaffirmed Georgia's commitment to achieving climate neutrality and welcomed Swedish support. She cited Sweden as a role model for sustainable practices.
